چکیده

This paper presents an analytical model to describe the transient fluid flow a horizontal fracture in frac-packed vertical wells. A physical is first established where located middle of cylindrical reservoir. The pressure distribution then derived concerning time and distance wellbore. assumes homogeneous isotropic reservoir Darcy's law applies single-phase flow, radial with radius much greater than pay zone thickness, constant width. For ease application, Type Curve Matching approach introduced which features matching defined dimensionless between field data data, some exemplar curves are illustrated this paper. principle applying curve here tune parameters match measured pressure/rate data. Once matched, parameters, that is, permeability, etc, naturally obtained. validity informed two ways. results show will degenerate classic equation for practical values certain upon reasonable simplification. Model further verified by type technique using can be used as quick method analyze test reveal fundamental properties at shallow depths formation stress least situ stress.

Using Burnett Equations to Derive an Analytical Solution to Pressure-Driven Gas Flow and Heat Transfer in Micro-Couette Flow

The aim of the present study is deriving an analytical solution to incompressible thermal flow in a micro-Couette geometry in the presence of a pressure gradient using Burnett equations with first- and second-order slip boundary conditions. The lower plate of the micro-Couette structure is stationary, whereas the upper plate moves at a constant velocity. Non-dimensional axial velocity and tempe...

Introduction to Transient Flow

To this point we have emphasized steady flows, flows that do not change with time at any location in the pipeline system. In this brief chapter we will introduce two general categories of unsteady flow that we call transient flow. All transient flows are transitions, of long or short duration, from one steady flow state to another. Either of these end states may be the rest state. Each transien...

An Integrated Procedure for Shape Optimization Applied to Fluid Flow

This work proposes an integrated numerical procedure for the shape optimization of fluid flow problems. The procedure is named integrated since it combines various distinct modules for the solution to the problem, such as: geometric modeling, mesh generation for finite elements, nonlinear analysis of the fluid flow, sensitivity analysis, mathematical programming and shape optimization. The prob...
